my experience with touchscreens in winXP are very complex usually. i dont think venue will support it. but dont quote me on it. im not sure the hardware in the console will support it but im sure sheldon and the venue team will have a better answer.

Hi,

Most likely the touchscreen needs its own set of software drivers in order to enable the full functionality. Installing additional drivers on a VENUE system is not recommended or supported, as they have not been tested and may lead to instability.

There are touchscreens that are plug and play (don't require drivers), and some users have tried these with mixed success, as many of the onscreen controls are designed for use with a mouse, not a finger.

You need to use HID compliant touchscreen drivers wich emulate a mouse.
If I´m correct Venues OS is XP Embeded so any XP HID driver will do.

Check out ELO or Nextwindow touchscreens for more info.

I have gotten an ELO to work, but really VENUE/touchscreen is not all it is cracked up to be. I like the control surfaces too much =)
