What!?! How can you say that - replace the Orange - sacrilege!

What I would hope for has pretty much been spoken for here except for an INTELLIGENT HARMONIZER .

But, if there has been no beta testing then ...

But on a lighter note I would like to see Cliff Chase become project manager for the Sixteen Rack. A system that incorporates all the Axe FX components and anything his mind could concieve of but couldn't implement because his company Fractal doesn't have the money and/or too small. With Avid he could have both in spades. The unit would slaughter everything out there on all fronts and the unit would come complete with PT9 (dongle-less), stand-alone editor, MIDI foot controller, and powered cab/speaker/wedge and would only cost $250 for the upgrade path for both 11R and Axe FX users.

Oh, yes, I refuse your reality and substitute my own .

Now that would be a monumental annoucement

But what about for those of us who buy our beers in packs of 24?

Is it time for a "Slab" Rack .

Would not surprise me to see a brand new bit of kit, making the current 11R redundant, the new kit will be around $1299 and will have all the features we have been asking for the 11R......

Maybe I am ignorant, but why would they do that? From what I have read the 11R has plenty of built in processing to handle whatever is thrown at it. Can you elaborate?

Well... his Location is London and it's 2011, so maybe he is just in a grumpy, pessimistic mood because of the VAT rate rise to 20%?

I'm modest! What I would like to see:
  • Parametric EQ
  • standalone Edit Software
  • Stereo Delay

Even though modest, those simple improvements would really make a good product that much better.

Well 'maddmat' is well, madd and not without a little reason.

A lot of us were expecting a bit of a firmware upgrade late last year which never came to eventuate, basically a bug fix. After that a lot us were hoping that this year - 2011 - we we would finally see some of our most asked for features becoming a reality with the next iteration of the firmware. Ideascale is full of well, ideas, that would make the 11R better. So Avid knows what the working guitarists needs.

Now it "doesn't" appear that that scenario is likely to happen so speculation is all that we have. One opinion is that Avid will announce a new product with the features we have been patiently waiting - read begging - for at some later date. Others have the opinion that we should be damn well happy with what we've got . A good machine at a good price, and I wonder if the Oz price will soon drop seeing as the US dollar is below ours at the moment

An announcement of any kind is what we really want, outlining the plans, if any, that Avid have for the 11R. So are there any psychics out there willing to put their reputations on the line . Someone to ease maddmatt's pain .

That just about compromises my list, but I would also add..
  • a bass rig (Ampeg SVT)
  • a vocal preamp rig
  • a dedicated "Plug-n-Play" foot controller
  • more FX blocks added to the rigs

I'm sure that there are others that I am forgetting, but if we got these, I'd be tickled pink!
