Default thanks alot

I finally got my midi situation fix, thanks to spkguitar. You really know your stuff. I just have one final ? and you won't here a peep out of me for a while. How do I get protools to read the srx 06 that I have plug into my roland 3080

Pro Tools doesn't "read" the card at all. It does not even read the 3080. It just sends it MIDI data.

If you're talking about Pro Tools recognizing the patch names on the card, There are text files with the extension .midnam that Pro Tools reads to determine what the patch names are. On Windows systems, there are also .middev files to define the device. I'm almost positive that you will need (either found on the internet or created manually by you) both a .midnam and .middev file for the expansion card.

Honestly, I don't have a 3080, so I really can't give you experienced advice here.

You told me that my system was corrupt so I re-installed windows xp and did the required updates and everything worked out. Thanks for the help
