Default Listen to iTunes AAC in Pro Tools

Hallo. I've a very large iTunes Library, growing up archieving all my CD collection (to have all my CDs in studio without get them from the archive).

Is there a way to listen to the music with Pro Tools Open, assuming that I work in PT @48 khz?

thanks,

You can take the core audio output (line out or dig out) of the mac into an analog or digital input of your protools interface.

It's too bad protools doesn't allow core audio to pass to a designated output - or even better - bring core audio INTO protools. maybe someone will write a plug that can do this? What if iTunes could be a rewire slave?

Many people want what you're requesting... brute force is the only way that I know of.

The best way to do it with Protools open. Use the worksace window and simply drag the song you want to listen to onto an open track. This will convert the song and big into the session. If you don't want to do that you will have to pit you Mac audio output into you mixer or what ever you use for monitoring. I use an M-Audio USB box so I get better convertors but you can use the Mac analog output as well. That is only way to get PT to work with iTunes at the same time.
