Default Pro Tools ran out of 82 byte tokens error

I'm running a Digi001 6.4 LE upgraded from 6.1.1 on an XP system.
I have a midiman midisport 4x4 interface and I'm using a CMLabs Motor Mix.

If I let protools run for a while I always get this message. I try and dismiss the dialog but it just keeps popping up. I have to go to the process manager and kill protools and then reboot my machine. Very annoying.

I got the last version of the personality configuration for my Motor Mix that was availalbe on the website.

I had upgraded from 6.1.1 to 6.4 because I thought it would fix this problem but to no avail.

Anyone have any ideas, other than scrapping my $800 Motor Mix?

A few people, including myself , have had this problem. Do a search for "82 byte token" and make sure you include "all posts" in the search date......you will find your answer. Short answer is get another MIDI interface. I solved mine with a cheapo Joystick/MIDI sound card....

So what's the comment about the ES6? I just bought an ES7 but haven't done more than plug the ES7 into the same midi interface as the Motor Mix.

Well, you can connect the motif via it's own USB plug on the rear panel. It's works cool, that's until you to want to use protools without the motif powered up Protools will start, but with no midi ports...........NONE, NONE, NONE. Something with the yamaha driver and protools drivers. do a search for "MOTIF" you should find more posts. I even found posts on Motifator.com about it.

I already had a SBLive with a LiveDrive in my PC. Plugged the CM Motor Mix into that instead of the USB, reconfigured in peripherals. Works like a charm. Recorded for 4 hours without a single burp. Thanks for the suggestions. 6.4 is much nicer than 5.3.1 which I was using before.

Glad to hear it works!! I know how frustrating this error is. It seems there is a rather large bug when it comes to USB MIDI in PT. I hope they get it resolved soon. However, its a good feeling knowing that your 10 dollar sound card's joystick/MIDI port can still save the day....

Kickin' it ol' sk00l,
