Default Using virtual instruments

Hi,

I feel quite dopey writing this as all the tutorials etc available, that I can find at least, only show you the parameters etc of the virtual instruments bundled with PT9. I'm just a lowly guitarist and I would love to experiment with these virtual instruments yet I can't play the piano or keys at all.

Can anyone tell me if I can still use these in my tracks, and if so, how!!!

Thanks,

Jamie

Your no different to many of us then.

If you work out what chords are on a piano, major or minor etc (google it) then lay down some guitar, shoot for a synth sound and play. Thats pretty much how you can learn, if if you can't play you'll learn more from using a midi controller than trying to use a mouse.

If you want to know how some of the more intricate parameters work, LFO's, filters etc then do some background research in to analogue syntheses.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but based on your use of the word "parameters", I think you'll find what you're looking for here:

C:\Program Files\Digidesign\Documentation\Plug-Ins\AIR Virtual Instruments.pdf

That, of course, presupposes that you are a Windows user; if you aren't, I'm sure that Macs have some kind of search capability that will let you find that file...

Just rockin'...what more is there?
