Default Structure Free's gone mad!

I'm running into problems with Structure Free on PT8LE Windows.

Loaded a drum set into it, but when I tried to play a file that worked fine in Xpand2, structure free was chopping it's own samples.

Basically, it sounds like a polyphony problem, so bass drums are cutting off ride cymbals, snares cutting off hats etc. There's no polyphonic overlap.

Tried messing with polyphony setting, but all it did was make it go crazy....the snare started randomly playing itself, even with everything in 'stop'.....muting and unmuting the patch in the Structure Free window stopped this.

I see a lot of people talking about trashing prefs and databases, but not sure if that'll work in windows or where they're located or even f that is the problem.

Any help greatly appreciated!

It is a known problem with Stucture - and trashing will fix the problem (abeit temporarily). You should have a folder on every drive in your system called 'Digidesign Databases', which wil have a folder called 'Unicode', in which you will find a a .ddb file - killing that seems to fix it. Requires you to close and reopen PT however (PITA yes).

Not sure what the word is on a fix for Structure FREE - with all the new upgrades going around it would be nice, but AVID are soooo busy changing their name at present I'm not holding my breath.

HTH
