upgrading to protools LE 6.9 on XP
Hello, Probably others have had the same problem... for some reason after i'm asked to uninstall the 6.7 version so that i can install the 6.9,and after restarting, it says I still have a valid version on my computer-No I don't!! But I can't update until my computer agrees!
Any thoughts, solutions would be greatly appreciated. i'm working on XP Pent 4, 2.2 ghz processor with an M-box thanks Chris |

Re: upgrading to protools LE 6.9 on XP
When you uninstall select 'PT LE' only
Reinstall 6.7. Fire it upand type in your product code. Then uninstall 6.7 but just 'PT LE' only. Now reboot and install 6.9 That should do it. Shane

Thanks Shane, I tried but the same problem occurs. The computer 'thinks' there still is an installed version. Could it be it's reading the install disk?

Hmmm... I had the same prob but thought the solution was my post above. It worked for me. Maybe someone else can chime in. I didnt use an upgrade CD though. I downloaded the 6.9 install to my desktop and went from there.

Re: upgrading to protools LE 6.9 on XP
I finally got it! There were all sorts of small digi files that didn't get trashed with the add/remove function. I used a 3rd party registry cleaner to get rid of those little buggers, and voila!
