nothing happens when i start pt!!! help anyone?

hi

running a macbook 2 ghz with 1 gig of memory. im using an 002 r which i had running with my powerbook g4, but it died, so i tried installing pt 7.3 from the original disk... but nothing happens when i clikc the icon. anyone have an idea on what to do? is this becasue i am installing it on a new computer? thanks.

We'll need more information to see what is wrong. Usually when I hear that Protools won't start, I think it has to do with doing a previous OS update but not using the combo update. The problem with the (non combo) OS updates is that not everything is updated as needed and Protools doesn't start. This has been happening for several years now woth Apple OS updates. Apple therefore does provide a "combo" update it you look for it and that one does a much better job of installing everything. Also check to make sure your version of protools works with your OS version.
