My 002 keeps losing the connection

Right now I'm having some problems with my 002 setup. It appears to lose it's connection to the computer. The light in the back (next to the firewire cable) turns off, and the computer promts me that the 002 has been disconnected. Sometimes I can unplug and replug the firewire cable back in and it will reinitiate the contact (initializing, loading, etc...), other times it is near impossible to get my connection back. Sometimes I can't even boot it up because it won't get past the "initializing" phase. I have tried switching firewire cables to see if that is the problem, and I have used both firewire connections on the back of the unit, and the back of my pc, but the problem continues. I'm wondering if this is a hardware or software problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

can't help - but need help too

after 3-5 min the SampleRate Light began to flicker and you can hear a clicking. Than he lots the connection. All cables are ok !

power harness problem. very easy to fix, just call digidesign to send a new power harness.
