That’s what I was implying in my first response.

We have recommendations for subs ranging from under $1,000 to $15,000!

A bit of info from the OP and they would have received some sage advice.

Exactly.
Depending on what type of music the OP is working on I'd say just get a pair of monitors with decent low end like JBL LSR308's. Granted they won't get you earth-shaking bass but for most stuff they'll do and mixes should translate better.

I'm using Augsbergers with dual 18 subs. Get those.

My mains are B&W DM604 S2 powered by two bridged pairs out of a McIntosh MC-7106 amp. I had a DBX crossover and a Hafler P7000 "Diablo" amp laying around so for hoots & giggles I got a pair of Chinese Rockville 15"/4 ohm subs for $200 NIB on eBay. Crossed over at about 150 Hz they ain't half bad, they just give the B&Ws a little more authority and they're well built too. YMMV!

McIntosh... nice. I power my proacs with cello monoblocks.

Have you tried the crossover for the subs at 60hz?

JBL makes quite a few pro subs fo not a lot of money. Easy to find on eBay, Reverb and other outlets as well.

The B&Ws are not really that stout below 80 Hz so I've stuck to 120 - 150 which makes life a little fuller.
