Default Plug Ins M Powered 7.1

When using Audiosuite plug-in's from the top drop down menu can someone explain to me why I cannot insert these on individual tracks? Are these for something else? The guide does not explain real well how these are to be used. I would love to normalize say a bass track but when I insert plug-in's it will only let me insert the trim which is a plug-in in the pull down menu on each actual channel. So I guess I am confused as to these other plugs I can't get to insert on each channel.

Yes, A newbie. Thanks for the help anyway.
Eric

Some plugins are Audiosuite plugins. Audiosuite plugins actually modify the region data on disk to eliminate processing overhead.

Some plugins are RTAS plugins. RTAS plugins are Real Time Audio Suite plugins and work in real time on the audio output without modifying the data.

Some plugins are capable of both versions, some plugins have only one version or the other.

More information can be found in the DigiRack plugins Guide that is installed with the software.

P.S. Virtual Instrument plugins, the topic of this particular forum posts list, are RTAS only. Plugins like normalize are not virtual instrument plugins, nor are they RTAS plugins. Normalization would always need to be actually applied to the actual data and could not technically be processed in real time.

So explain to me the process of adding normalization to a track? I can't figure out when to or how to apply these type plug-in's. The guide talks about it but does not say how to do it. Any hints?

Thanks.

Select the region you want to apply the processing to, select the plugin you want to use to process the data from the Audiosuite plugin menu, make your settings and preview if you want to, then click the process button.

Those are the basics. For more detailed information, you need to read the reference guides that I mentioned above.
