ilok manager on Win7 laptop not able to connect

I am making out my ilok support case now......

But I was able to sync my ilok's on a work computer yesterday (Win XP) and I thought I would be good. I installed PT10/11 and tried to start the program yesterday evening...... ERror code went something like this.....

"Ilok manager has not been run on this computer"

So it appears the behaviour for the ilok in relation to PT11 has changed Correct?

It not only has to have a ilok - the ilok manager must put some kind of file on the computer as well......so we have to authorize every computer we run on - the dongle by itself will not work....??? It appears to be the case anyway.

Food for thought and I am really just probing the ideas.....

so for whatever reason....I wasn't able to connect (still no change) with the ilok manager...last night nor this morning.

However last night it gave me the error that I had not run the ilok manager software - leading me to believe the behaviour of the ilok dongle was also dependent on the ilok managers auth (locally).

However this morning I was able to load up a session (prior saved in PT7) (it was the only one I had in 44.1k) and everything worked.....I was able to get into PT and check it out...very nice thank you avid.....It look like it was worth my money.

So ilok manager is still not working on my laptop....awaiting ilok support team.
