Default How to make alternate Volume Playlists?

Hi
How is it possible to record different volume curves into on track. I do a lot of voice over jobs in my studio and i have to make different mixes in one session (French, italian, english mixes.........)
My undestanding is , if I make a new playlist on a track then the volume data will keep the same. So i have to route the signal to different aux tracks where I do my automation. But this turns my mixer to a very big one.
Different Volume Playlist on an audio track would be great for me. This means each audio playlist must have its own volume curve !!!!! (Or do I make something wrong?)

Ale

If you have upgraded to PT 5.1 : just duplicate the voice track, and put the tracks you don't need to inactive mode, so that they don't consume any DSP.

Hi
But my problem is, that an actual production will be translated into more than 20 languages.
If I always have to duplicate tracks for different mixes, my mixer will become very big and uncomfortable.

So here is my feature request .

Digi, please give me alternate volume curves on a single audio track.

Alex

How about this:

Put in a plugin, make different presets w/different volumesettings, and change plugin preset every time you change language...?

No way
In this case I have the same level during the whole track.
But I need complete volume automation during the whole track.

This feature is a must for future protools

I've featured requested this before... give it to us digi! And the ability to suspend ONLY the volume automation, or ONLY the pan automation, and furthermore, ONLY for a specific automation playlist.

Yeah!

uno1234, that's already possible : when you have the playlist showing any of the automation types, eg.volume, command+click on the word 'volume' on the "Track Display Format Selector". (The one that says blocks, waveform, mute, volume etc...) That'll disable the automation ONLY for volume! Works with other parameters also.

Another thing: A friend of mine said that it would be possible with a special copy function to copy automation data from a volume track to lets say aEQ Gain track, or what ever. Does any Genius know how to do those copies from one automation parameter to a different one ?
