Default any words on supporting DUAL CPU??

Does anybody know anything about digidesign supporting DUAL CPU for PT 5.1 LE user?? [img]images/icons/confused.gif[/img]

Well not in 5.1... Probably when they release the OS-X version. And even then they just might decide to give the dual processor support only for TDM systems...

You know, Digi really doesn't have too much interest in boosting the capabilities of LE. For obvious reasons...

I know of just two such words:

Logic and Cubase.

(Sorry, I know that's of no help. I'm just an unreformed smartass who loves to twist the knife in Digi's back).

I believe that Digi would have to write special code to PREVENT PT from using dual processors in OS X (if it can be done at all). The OS takes care of multiple CPU load-balancing, not the application.

...but do you think we'll even see an OS X version of PT this year? I would be surprised - very surprised.

Why would they carbonize PT LE and write code to prevent dual cpu's? It's far more cost effective and irritating to just sit on their @sses, something Digi does best.
