Question Computer Upgrade

i am thinking about upgrading my PPC dual 2ghz. I have been waiting for the new MAc Pro's but they seem to be a ways off if they will upgrade them at all.

I was looking at getting a Mac Book Pro or Imac. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I am running 002, PT7.4 and Logic Pro 8.0.2.

Is it even worth the upgrade for both the Computer and software?
Thank you.

No doubt. I didn't lose anything swapping my dual-core 2.0ghz g5 power mac for my 2.4 ghz c2d MacBook pro performance wise. I gained portability and lost a bit of expandability. I'm sure any current i-series Mac will be a huge jump in performance. I've personally been eyeing the new server Mac mini.
