I would LOVE IT if someone could post up an instructional video on creating midi drum tracks in Pro Tools.

So far, I have used a Boss drum machine or used the grooves library disc that came with PT when I bought the Eleven Rack to lay down drum patterns. But I want REALLY want to get into is using something like Superior Drummer 2.0 or the Steven Slate drums to create my drum tracks, but it seems a bit daunting to get started.

Any instructional videos or documents would be KILLER!

Peace

.

just an fyi, there are TONS of midi loops out there. i use some groove monkey stuff and most drum programs you buy will come w a ton of them. i use bfd 2 and not sure i could get through them all, plus expansion packs from places like platinum samples typically have a bunch of midi loops included w them as well.

guthrie govan. everything you need to know about gtr can be found here while not instructional perse' the inspiration i find from this man is amazing. i have had the chance to see him live once in a VERY rare perfomance from him.

and imo petrucci is one of the best teachers of all time! spent many years of my life working on this guys instructional material and albums. this is a little snippet.

for guitar tones and recording, michael wagener is on of my gurus!

It would be cool for the 11R to take home the prize.

If you post something, let us know here so we can all vote for you.

There are only 48 video responses at this time, so you have a good chance of winning (especially when you see some of the responses )
