separating MIDI Clips
So I've created a few MIDI clips that i've alt-dragged or just plain copied and pasted into different points in a session so that editing one affects all of them. Generally, this is convenient.
However, I want a couple of them to be unique. How do I un-link a particular clip from the rest, or copy it to create a new clip so that I can edit that particular MIDI clip only? Thanks! Geoff |

Re: separating MIDI Clips
If you use copy and paste the clip will be its own separate region. Editing it will not affect the other instances.

Re: separating MIDI Clips
Turn off Options (menu) > Mirror MIDI Editing

Re: separating MIDI Clips
And if you have duplicated clips on the timeline are using mirrored midi editing you can highlight and consolidate the clip you want to become it's own. Shift+opt+3 on mac
