Default Apple to stop selling the current Mac Pro in Europe on 3/1/2013

Apple removing the current Mac Pro in Europe. Hope this is kind of a good thing that will be fixed with a new Mac Pro sometime in our lifetime. http://9to5mac.com/2013/01/31/apple-...ntelligence%29

Jeez, cmon Apple... this is getting beyond painful.

Unfortunately that sound's like they are simply meeting reg's and not clearing out old stock. Hopefully they will anounce something new some rather than leaving a void in the market.

Hmm... maybe I should hoard a bunch of them and sell them in March on ebay.co.uk.

They've been hinting at a completely new Mac Pro for a long time. It's also been ages since an update to Logic, so it will be interesting to see what we get....

I don't live in Europe, so this doesn't bother me. Either buy one now or wait for Tim Cook's promised refresh later this year. If Tim Cook does to the Mac Pro what Steve Jobs did to FCPX, then you might be wishing you had not waited for the new Mac Pro.

And here's another article about this. What it looks like is some safety regulation regarding power sockets and fan blade access. In other words - idiot proof it so the user doesn't get zapped by the AC mains or their fingers caught in the fan.

Default Did Apple announce no more Mac Pros?

I just saw that they will no longer sell Mac Pros in Europe. Are Mac Pros heading toward end of life? DSP cards too?

http://www.insanelymac.com/_/apple/a...in-europe-r988

I know HD/TDM will no longer be supported with PT11. But is the thunderbolt native thing taking over that soon too?

I just finally did the PTHD10 upgrade with my HD TDM cards and a Hackintosh, and couldn't be happier with it....well the MIDI is still awful. But the audio and computer... so far so good.

They've simply stopped selling them because they dont meet the new European regulations. Supposedly they will have something new in a couple of months.

Apple resellers in EU will still have just no Apple Stores or on line.
The MP is supposed to refreshed later this year.

There are rumours that the new Mac Pro will be aimed at audio/video professionals:
