If you get no sound at 44.1K, but DO get sound at 48 or 98K, and/or if you're able to restart sound by changing to 48 or 96 and then keep sound when you go back to 44.1K, your 11R is exhibiting the primary symptom of the "clock issue". How old is it?

Contact Avid tech support and\or the retailer. One of two things will happen: You'll be able to get a new unit (exchange) or you'll be able to get it repaired (but at cost if it's out of warranty).

I had thought that since this was a known issue that Avid would make it right even if you were out of warranty, but I've recently heard of a few people who were billed for repair...

Thumbs down Re: My 11R is doing it now.

I was quoted a cost of $375+shipping+tax with a 2 week turnaround from Digidesign. I'm not getting mine fixed because it does still work in 48kHz or 96 kHz and if their repair time is anything like their on-hold times when you call in, that turn around time of 2 weeks is probably more like 2 months. And yes, I'M BITTER.

Bought Sept 2010 it's probably out of warranty.
This is the fastest I've ever had anything go south on me. I take real good care of my stuff. If it is a three hundred dollar fix then it's not worth it. I luv the way it sounds but the issues of start up and maintenance are driving me back to Line 6. I can try but I had to turn in my first one for clock issues. sweetwater was great about replacing it. I haven't upgraded because I read about nightmares.
I'm gonna try the clock change tonight.

When did you get the replacement? It might be within the warranty period... Contact Avid and the reatiler.

I cant get mine repaired for love or money so my aes clock source hack is working for me, but all I use it for is to load all projects and convert them to 48khz

I wish it only took 2-3 times to get sound out of mine. I am not using the 11R as an audio interface and it can take as many as 6-10 times of powering it on and off before I can get any sound. I thought the "clock setting" on the 11R was only used when using it as an audio interface??
