connecting a PC to mac
I just purchased a used mac G4 500 mhz dual processor with 40 gig hard drive and 17 inch monitor and am going to switch my 001 Pro Tools LE version 6.4 setup on my PC to it. Not being well versed in Macs is there anything I should do or be aware of when doing this? Also what do I need to connect a PC to A mac if I use Gigastudio on a PC

Re: connecting a PC to mac
You just need to get Mac PT LE software and drivers for the mac.
Go to syncronization prefrences in PT On the mac and set it to transmit MTC (MIDI time code) then go to the MIDI window and open up the MTC settings. Set which MIDI ports you want it to transmit on. Connect MIDI between the two machines. I don't knwo how to set up Gigastudio to recive and sync to MTC as I have never used it but it can't be hard. I'm using MTC to sync PT and logic on the same machine right now using two diffrent audio interfaces for output. Works pretty well should be great across two machines.
