Having problems with Pro-tools and Midi. Help!

Hey everyone. I have mac book pro with Pro Tools 9 and an Mbox 2. I recently purchased an Axiom 49 midi keyboard controller. When in pro-tools when I hit the keys I do not get any levels coming through on the instrument track, however I can record the sounds and play them but. I just cannot hear anything when I am hitting the key or the pads to hear what I am playing.

First off - no need to post 5 times within a few minutes - not cool.

Second - do a LOT of reading. Get the Pro Tools 101 coursebook, read that. Also read the user's guide for PT. Don't know how much is left out on the market in the way of learning materials for an old version of PT like PT9.

I believe setting up a MIDI track along with an instrument track will solve this, in the "input" of the MIDI track select the instrument you wish to control. In most cases when I am using VI's its set to channel 1.
