Default Delay and crackle when adding or removing a plugin

It's kind of annoying but everytime I add or remove a plug or even just choose 'No Insert,' it cuts the sound off and crackles. My Mix3 on an ancient G4 didn't do that.

I did all the steps in the troubleshooting thread. Anyone have any ideas?

Computer is an 8 core Dell Precision T5400 and is on the approved computer list.

Thanks,
Matt

Thumbs up Re: Delay and crackle when adding or removing a plugin

My system does the same thing I believe. It makes a "popping/click" sound when removing a plugin. Its a small annoyance over Mac systems I've worked with but I've learned to deal with it. If there's a solution I'm all ears. I'm sure it has something to do with a plugin thats not fully compatible like Waves not being fully updated to latest release.

Someone on our support team brought this thread to my attention. If you're still here, can you tell me the confirmation number of your support request?

Try this fix from this thread. In addition to the problem mentioned in that post i sometimes had the same plug-in issue. Worth a shot.
