Feature Request or "Already Possible" ???

Hi There,

going thru' a recording session renders many takes and more regions. I normally sit with a piece of paper and write the regions down that I like or have edited... My regions list are almost always containing "show Auto created regions".

If this, what I am about to suggest, is already possible please let me know how - if not - Then this is something that I would love to have : In The Regions List

Being able to "Label" regions (maybe like the finder in OS X) - Or at least be able to "Mark" a region - in some kind of way. For me Colors would do it...

I have composited a view in Photoshop.

I do a similar thing with taking notes, or renaming the regions that need to be remembered, etc.

How about a "Favorites" section on a per-session basis? Then we could drag some of them into the "favorites" folder...

the "Favorite Regions List" feature sounds amazingly great to me... Great suggestion.

Maybe we could gather a few suggestions on this matter and I'll gather them and send a feat. request to the Gods.

It is indeed already possible to “paint” a region in the Regions Bin. Select that which you need colored and click on a color in the Color Palette window.

What’s cool (or perhaps not, depending on one’s particular needs) is that the “painting” is completely independent from what you may be doing in the editing window, even if you enabled “Region List Selection Follows Edit Selection” and/or “Edit Selection Follows Region List Selection” in your Editing Preferences.

In other words, regions only get colored where you selected them.

Quick Notes would be great also, on the waveform. So that when your going through playlists you have notes. this would help workflow.

I vote for colors AND favorites folder.

It would be nice if the colors of regions made sense with the colors in the edit window.

thank you very much for this very valuable tip.... Come to think of it: I should have at least tried to open "colors" and apply it to a region in the region list... Thank you.

Coloring works well BUT Bins or Sub-folders would be awesome!
