Default Dock with Artist Mix

Anyone using the Dock with the Artist Mix? If so can you assign VCA's to be controlled by the Dock, and effect the artist mix faders? ala VCA spill...
I bought the dock, but now I think I might add a Artist Mix to it as well, and I want to know of any working configurations that you might have...
I like the s3 but it's more than I need. plus I like the smaller footprint of the Artist mix.
Thanks..
Cheers

Unfortunately the Mix doesn't support VCA Spill only the S3.

Other than VCA spill, can the artist Mix and Dock work together?

Hi, I consider to add 2 Artist Mixes to my Dock too. But could anyone explain me behavior of this system in two fundamental issues:
1. Faders banking
- if I would bank using Dock, how does it affect the PT App Mixer on iPad? I mean, does the mixer in App give me other 8 faders ? So with connection to two Artist Mixes I would have 24 faders banking? Or mixer on the App is a mirror of one of them?
2. Plugins
- loading plugins with many controls, f.e. 8 bands EQ - 24 controls - will they arm to all hardware knobs in this setup (24) without need to scroll pages on the App?

Layouts are more powerful than spill anyway. Not needed.

To my knowledge....

1. The Dock will bank the APP and PT (if set up to do so under preferences/mixing/controllers) but the dock will NOT bank the artist mixes. They work independently. It would be great to have an option for banking to work uniformly across all surfaces.

2. if the plugin is called up via the dock then the params of the plugin will only populate the knobs on the dock. If the plugin is called up on the artist mix then the params will populate all the knobs across all artist mixes.

hope that helps.

Well, it doesn't seem like the Dock is designed especially to work with Artist Mix at all... But... sometimes this behaviour may has some advantages Anyway - the integration is very weak.
So, the only strong weapon on this system I see using layouts on Artist Mixes and having not only quick access to 16 faders of most needed channels at the moment, but also possibility to just select one of this channel to put it as a attention in Dock. It would be faster way to find track an select it in large sessions. What do you think?

I agree the integration could be a better between the 2 systems (dock and artist mixes). layouts are the way to go. You can even mimic a VCA spill with a layout putting the VCA master on the dock and then assigning the Artist mix faders to the individual tracks.
