Re: Help in Replacing Transport Buttons (is it possible?)
Hey Charles
Out of curiousity, does your ProControl have the "Click/stop" pots in the DSP section, if so I highly recommend you have them changed to the smooth pots. I also bought a used ProControl with the click-stop pots and they were driving me crazy, i've since had the smooth ones put in and the difference is remarkable!, again I recommend you do this, even before changing your transport keys!. I had the parts sent to me and had my local tech install them, no drama!. Have you tried contacting Stan Cotey from here?, you might be able to organise having the parts sent to you and have your tech install them, it's a no brainer "under the hood", well so my tech told me. Good Luck, welcome to the other side!!, your eyes and back will sure appreciate it, not to mention your clients, and that extra coupla bucks extra you can charge. Stefan Nowak |

Re: Help in Replacing Transport Buttons (is it possible?)
Hey Charles.
The Editpack sure looks great and would help ergonomics greatly, however I can't justify the expense at the moment. I was refering to the 8 pots in the DSP section, the older models have clicky/detented style pots which were awful to use, it sounds like your one is a later rev with the smooth/free pots. Have you seen any 2nd hand Edit Packs out there?, I look occasionally and haven't found anything. As for an amp for your NS-10s, have u considered a Bryston? Cheers Stefan |
