Default FireWire 400 to 800 on New MacBook Pro

I'm about to buy the new MacBook Pro 2.53Ghz, 4GB RAM, but I noticed that it does NOT have FW400! I looked at what Digi put out there but I cannot find an example of such adapter, nor do I know how to tell?

Can you please link me to something that will work to go from FW400 to FW800 using the 003?

What interface do you have? FW800 or Mbox2? I don't really want to pay th 500% markup Apple has on every accessory... what other (proven) options are there?

I just bought one of those cables at monoprice.com - 5 bucks plus 2 bucks shipping.

Thanks OD, which one from this page: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/acces.../FireWire_1394 do you recommend? Is the adapter better than the FW cable conversion?

Just trying to get a sense of which one is better - cable or adapter?
