Default HD2 and 192 I/O - Verry Happy!

I've been using HD10 software for quite awhile with a Focusrite 18i6 with the intention of upgrading to HD hardware.

I've shopped it to death and asked a ton of questions here (thanks for all of the replies!) but I recently got a deal on an HD2 system with a 192 I/O.

I know the HD2 limits me to version 10 but I figure I can upgrade to a Native card later if I need to.

All I can say of my first impression is Wow! I'm also upgrading my input chain but I didn't expect the stuff I previously recorded to sound better. I can immediately hear a difference. I just didn't expect that...

I can't wait to get some new stuff recorded with the new signal chain and the 192!

I am thinking of pairing a HD3 system with a newer HD i/o SUPPOSEDLY the converters are supposed to be upgraded.

It would be the best of both worlds I suppose. I have a guy that will make me a killer deal on this setup......Just need to wait till the end of the year to make a move.

Love your quote JP S.....

I just got a deal on a motherboard with 4 PCI slots and with the price of the HD cards on ebay I'll soon be upgrading to HD4!

That should keep me happy for a while...
