Default digi click has it been fixed ? in PT6.7

digi, has the click issue beed addressed in 6.7 ... you know the click will take your head off in headphones because the sample is too short ans just sounds like a very harsh click instead of the cowbell it should be ...

please fix this .. the sample is just too short .. please please

I read through most of the "What's new" document and I didn't see anything. I bet they will fix it sometime around when I buy the TL Labs bundle that includes the metronome.

I don't think it is harsh or too short, but I agree that it should have a good cowbell sound, and a good cross-stick as well. The real problem is that most of the sounds seem like there is more than one attack , like a flam. If you record it and zoom in on the sample, you can even see what I am talking about, proving that it's not just my crazy ears. What we need are some better sounds at least, and then the ability to load our own sounds, ideally. I didn't see anything about this in the 6.7 info, so I think that it wasn't addressed.

I also find that the one sound that is usable is so dull that it takes about +8 db on the top to even work.

i have posted before concerning this and it has to do with using headphones ... not monitors ... it is way harsh in the cans ... please reply to this concern ... my drummers will not use it to this day ...

longer sample and yes the ability to use our own samples would be cool ...

peace john

You can change the sound of the digi click by going to the preset drop down menu in the plugin window. The best is use reason and build a click using redrum where a cowbell is on beat 1, tamberine is on beat 3, and 8th note are shakers. Hopefully that helps.

i have it on good authority that the sample length allowed by the program is not long enough for the sound to develop WHEN YOU ARE WEARING HEADPHONES ... sorry about the yelling but it seems that some do not reply to the original statements only see something that looks like something they know about and through the .02 in ....

this post is asking DIGi for an answer .... not the masses ....

i am just trying to keep a clean post, thank you all for your replies but ....

peace john

The first time I heard the click I thought it was harsh, but the short click is great for film scoring. The orchesta players love it because it is more precise than a sidestick or cowbell. If you want to change the click sound, check out these links for possible solutions:

PT6 Click sound options. IT IS HERE !!!!!!!

Finally, I can create my own click sounds, woo-hoo!!

It appears that "Snap" is no longer available. Maybe it's part of TL Metro?
