Softube, Arturia, IKMM and lately UA.

Plenty of overlap here but these are all getting regular use.

McDSP are out of favour due to the upgrade prices to the latest versions. If you think WUP is bad then try McDPSup&up&up

If you can make the investment, Melodyne Editor or Studio are incredibly powerful, and they’re not just pitch correction tools. They do tons more. I totally dismissed Melodyne until I tried out a demo version to make a needed tweak. After diving deeper, I was totally gobsmacked and bought the Editor version. Then, upgraded to Studio today with Black Friday discount.

Thank you. I grabbed Q3 will evaluate the others.

As for other plugins folks mentioned I have Eventide Ensemble, I'm not a fan of buying large bundles but the Eventide effects for a guitar player are so attractive, and I have multiple H9 on pedal boards.

The Weiss EQ from Softube has also impressed me, just such a nice UI to work with and that helps. I expect the Q3 to be similar (in terms of UI/UX quality but yes more features) but lets see how they compare. Never seen a real Weiss box either. I do like Softube stuff esp. the input/output level thingies in the plugin UIs.

What your asking about is subjective.
There are plugins which to some is important, while the same plugin to others is not.

Know your studio well and build it as needed.

I would say RX Advanced is pretty much a goto for everything that needs some fixing.

Music or Post. Its pretty invaluable for what it can do.

Well now that this is from SSL:

https://store.solidstatelogic.com/plug-ins/ssl-4k-e

What a nice job on the GUI and no doubt sounds nice with the proprietary features.

Maybe 3 versions later!

I was able to procure the SSL Essentials bundle (Channel Strip 2 (9000K) & Bus Compressor) on sale a couple years ago.
