Thats got to suck man.

If you purchased it from a local store that is open today, they may give you a replacement, but if their stock is all 'bad' units you will be right back where you started from.

It sucks, but you will probably be better off sending it in to Avid.

Have you already purchased the Expansion Pack and loaded it?
If so I would let Avid know, maybe they could go ahead and pre-load firmware 2.0.1 on the new unit for you- saving you another step when you receive the new unit. I personally think they should give the ERXP to anyone who had a bad unit for free, or a credit of $100 to the Avid store just for the trouble sending in the unit causes the End User. That would buy them some good will and free press on the internet on forums, stating that Avid is a company that cares about their users. But thats just my view.

thanks... bought on line 2- 3 months ago , buying and loading was next on the agenda today.. but will not be doing that ... will call them tommorrow and hope they take care of it ... and i agree 100% with what you said ...

I really don't want to start a new thread for my question, and this seems like a good place so here goes...

I've already returned a faulty unit (would not boot beyond initial splash screen), and am wondering if anyone has ever posted a summary of known issue with 11-Rack units by Revision / Serial# suffix?

You can still play with it, just set it at a higher sample rate. Not a solution of course, but you can at least get a feel for it.

spoke to support, and dropped my 11rack off at fed ex.. i gotta say it was very frustrating being on hold for 20minutes, than talking to someone who had to put me back on hold for 20minutes to find out what to do ....

just droped my 11rack off at fed ex it will go out tommorrow, I am very very dissapointed i recieved a defective unit as this is very frustrating .. What is the exact process and how long will i be with out ... I do hope it comes back with the latest updated expansion pack / firmware at least... tracking is 748326615038478 if needed
