Midi input stopped working on Mbox 2 Pro
I have had my Mbox 2 Pro for almost 3 years now. Now when I decide to work only in Reason 4.0 the midi controller is not detected via Mbox 2 Pro Midi. I have ran the midi loop test light lit up. I seen no reason to swap the cable as the midi controller is detected in Reason and PT on my EZBus midi ports.
Please help Thanks |

Re: Midi input stopped working on Mbox 2 Pro
Are you using Reason rewired into PT? If so, on Windows machines, PT "steals" the MIDI hardware.
Most people, when using Reason with Pro Tools just do their sequencing in Pro Tools, so this problem really doesn't matter. If you absolutely need to do your sequencing in Reason while rewired to PT, there is a workaround, but it only works for USB connected MIDI devices:
This will allow you to use the MIDI device in Reason while rewired. It will not work for devices that are plugged into the MBox 2 Pro using standard MIDI cables.

Re: Midi input stopped working on Mbox 2 Pro
It seems as though Pro tools is not installing the midi drivers. I 'm able to see the Digidesign Mbox 2 Pro midi All and 1-16 channels on a midi track but when I select one of them with my midi controller plugged into the Mcbox no signals are going through it.
Please help this is driving me nuts. Thanks |
