Pro Tools and Mbox mini 2 Question

To make a long story short;

I have an Mbox Mini 2 and Pro Tools 8. I recently had to upgrade my PC to Windows 10. There were compatiblity issues.

My question is this; What version of Pro Tools is compatibile with Windows 10 and the Mbox Mini 2? From what I've read on Avid's website, I believe it is Pro Tools 12.5 that will work.

If that is the case, can I download Pro Tools 12.5 software trial and purchase the iLok to get full access to the program?

You really need to work this stuff out before jumping off the cliff of an OS upgrade.

You need to purchase Pro Tools 12.x or an annual or monthly subscription. There us no upgrade program from 8.x. There is no free trial of 12.x but you can try a monthly subscription.

The Mbox 2 Mini is two or so years past end of support life, driver info here http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...2-Mini-Drivers. Windows 10 is not officially supported and I suspect it won't work but not sure.

You should either roll back to your previous working backup or contact a reseller like Sweetwater who can walk you though Pro Tools and interface options.

You MIGHT get 8.0.5 to work with limited functionality, which sucks when you need to get things done, but as Darryl said, you're at end of service on your hardware.
