Sample rate light going off and PT stops...

Hello all,

Whether I'm recording or not, at random times my sample light goes out and I will lost connection with my 002r. (as if the firewire was pulled out). I know it's a very bad thing to do, but when I'm in a bind and need it up and running again quickly, I'll hit the top a bit and the machine clicks, sample light goes back on, I click retry connection and I'm good to go for a while. Last week in desperation while live recording, I put it up on an angle (with my wallet underneath the machine) and it didn't stop at all from that point on. Coincidence? Inside wiring issue? Heating issue? I don't know much about the actual inner workings on the hardware.

If anyone has any help it's greatly appreciated.
