Default What is the System ID and how to reset it?

When attempting to download the upgrade to 11.1.2, it requires a System ID to be entered. I don't recall having set one up. How can it be reset?

Never needed a System ID for downloading or installing any version of PT. You don't set one up; your computer system generates it based on a number of different things. Generally a System ID is only needed as part of an authorization system for plugins and not PT. You can't reset it.

Are you sure it's system ID and not your iLok2 account ID? People have been known to make that mistake and confuse the two. You need to have an iLok.com account and the ILM software installed before doing anything with PT. And said iLok2 must be plugged in at all times when using PT.
