Default Moving groups of Atmos messes up automation levels?

Does anyone know how to fix this? If you grab some a group of clips that have their levels set and then drag them to the next scene where those tracks are needed - the automation ramps up the whole way through the clip like this:

Group after alt+dragging it up the timeline:

looks like the breakpoints at the end of the group might be *just* outside of the clips? How about a copy and paste instead of an opt-drag?

I deliberately tested that (nudged the last breakpoint at the clip boundary well behind the clib boundary), but with Alt-dragging the clip group, PT did not "forget" the value of the volume automation (despite the absence of an explicit breakpoint there), and placed a proper breakpoint at the end of the boundary of the copied clips.
It looks like, in Soundbursts example, PT discards the value/breakpoint at the end of the clip. That is weird , which may be resolved by trashing prefs.

Does a copy special - all automation resolves this, as a workaround; or will it lead to the same problem ?
