let us know if that works.
Thank you Anthony, it works here.

3 Delete the Pro Tools 18Mac.xml from MC-USER-SET-Root n Library/application support/Euphonix/user sets/MC2User

I don't quite understand these instructions. How am I deleting the very file I need to move to a safe location and re-name?
I found 2 files named (Pro Tools 12Mac.xml & 18Mac.xml ) in the folder named Dyn appsets in Library/application. Am I deleting both of these?
I also found a filed named Pro Tools 12Mac.xml in Library/application support/Euphonix/user sets/MC2User.
So which of these files am I deleting and which one am I moving and renaming?
Thanks.

At first do only what Eddie wrote:
Rename your old PT 12 Appset to 18
For me it was enough to get it work

I updated my instructions so there is less confusion about the renaming. I had no idea I was going to write a complete manual and have it vetted and reworked, but it is getting there I hope.

Tried to rename the xml file and it wouldn't work, used the cleanEuphonixSystem
app didn't work my settings would never show. downloaded new xml file from avid and renamed it didn't work couldn't even see some of the default settings on the horizontal and vertical strips nothing there. I'm sure people will say I did something wrong but I've done it many times and I sure don't want to complain before I get told some nonsense from the forum gods so Ill say nothing

rolled back to 12 and all is good it worked the first time, I got my commands back hopefully they will come out with Eucon 3.8 and that will work.

I'm sorry to say but yes you must have done something wrong. EuControl uses the name of the Softkey setting file (Appset) to match the DAW version. The previous version is called something like ProTools12.xml but it needs to be renamed to ProTools18.xml for it to work with PT 18. PT18 does come with a default Appset but if you have custom keys you need to do the rename.
EuControl v3.8 does have a load and Save Appset option now so make all this a lot easier. It should be out before the end of Feb maybe a little sooner.

The Custom user-sets are stored here:
Mac OS:
/Library/Application Support/Euphonix/UserSets/MC2User/MC_User_Set_Root/...
Windows 7:
C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Euphonix\UserSets\MC2User \MC_USER_SET__Root\...

I got this workaround to work on my Win10 PT vanilla install but NFG for my MacPro HD rig (Hi Sierra). Eddie could you guys just fix this please? I can see the older PT 12Mac.xml dated 1/27/18 and the 18Mac.xml dated 1/28/18. Have tried renaming a dozen times. I suppose it's possible that I never changed the Mac side but I've been used to always having a soft button to do a simple open and close of of the mix/edit window. That is now a soft key on page 1. I'm sure many would agree that this should be on a button. No offense, but whoever came up with the new layouts buggered 'em big time. There was really nothing wrong with the soft button approach for main and often used functions such as the mix/edit toggle AND undo/redo which is now accessed by a "modifier" button. Guess I'll have to do my own custom work for the Mac ...AGAIN!

The release next week has the new Load and Save As for Softkeys. I don't think we have changed the Appsets for a while ?
