Default Midi Only Recording in Reason

Hello!

I have Reason Adapted 3.0.5, PT LE 7.4.2, Axiom Pro 49, M-Audio MBox 2, and Macbook Pro.

For some reason the midi is only recorded in reason and not in protools. I've tried to turn off midi synch and it still does it.

Can anyone help?

thanks!

Expand the 'index of accelerated videos' and watch the Reason ones, this will confirm if you have things set up correctly?

Well, for one thing you shouldn't be recording in reason. You should only be using the ProTools transport.

The other thing is making sure that the MIDI is getting routed correctly to Reason.

I notice from your pictures you don't have the instrument view enabled in protools... View>Mix window views... Make sure instrument views is checked.

Now that you can see this info, make sure that the midi input is set to "all" and the midi out is set to the instrument you want to trigger in Reason. Also, you need to record enable the Inst track in protools, and when you do you should see activity in the MIDI meter when you play..

There are also some settings in reason concerning the default master keyboard. I don't remember exactly what those need to be so I suggest you look at the Rewire section in the Reason Manual...
