A great composer considers 48+ tracks to be unlimited tracks. PT gives you way beyond that.

Beatles did on 4 and 8 tracks and still sold much more records than all those now a day digital goofballs utilizing 256 tracks of kindergarten synthesizers,
sounding as if they were purchased at Toys 'R' Us.

Aint the track counts it's the composition. Would you like to listen to a 300 piece band? Or better yet, would you be able to write a composition and arrangement for such a band.

Have you used "Record"?
It's a very bizzzzzy GUI. Maybe a three monitor system would work but on a Laptop it's just too much stuff.
Rewire III with bi/audio would have done better for me.
