Default Help with digi/drivers

Ok, so I posted before about having problems with my athlon system (redraws after zooming were slow) Pretty common to have a 9129 - reduce hardware buffer error on 1024, and a 9029 increase hardware buffer on 512.

When I got my new system I never reinstall windows, I just kinda tweaked it until the drivers were cool. The general idea was that I needed to format and load clean.

So i just did.

I'm dual boot I install NO applications or un needed things. All of my extra devices are disabled, onboard sound, nic, usb, firewire etc.

I have a gigabyte mb...ga-7dx+ I couldn't find any constant info on whether to install the mb drivers or just keep the windows ones, so I did both....ran the davec test with eveything just plain, then loaded all of the drivers and tried it again.

It got worse with the extra drivers...I can't even listen to my old sessions...it just gives me the combination of the 2 errors depending on what buffer setting im using. My davec score on both tries is 24 tracks 2 aux

Here's my setup:
ga 7dx+
athlon xp 1800
2 7200 rpm hd's (20 gig sys, 30 gig audio)
256 megs of ddr 2100
everything else is disabled

digi is on irq 10 alone.

so please someone help...i'm only getting like 4 tracks more than my p3 800 sys.

anyone? I've seen other people with the same setup getting like another 6-10 aux tracks and having no problems with redraw.

dude you should be whomping tracks with that setup. dump the via drivers. make sure dma is enabled etc.

you got something else going on, though. you shouldn't have to disable everything. gigabytes are good with irqs. email me and we'll work this out....
