Default Mobile Pre / Protools SE and Macbook Air

Hi folks

I've searched through the forums and read the FAQ's, but I haven't been able to find an answer, sorry.

I recently purchased a July 2011 13" Macbook Air with:

Operating System: Lion
Processor: 1.7 dual
RAM: 4gig
Storage: 128gig SSD

I play music and would like to be able to record some instruments (not live or anything, just in my house). Nothing too serious, just for messing around with some ideas. The most I'll ever really need to record at one time is 2 channels, i.e. a stereo keyboard.

I was looking around and found this Mobile Pre:

http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MobilePre.html

It seems to be perfect for me as it includes Protools SE, which I understand is a basic, watered down version of Protools. Perfect.

Now, my question is, does anybody know if I'll have any issues with this set up when used with the Macbook Air? After a lot of googling and research I'm hearing stories of compatibility issues with the solid state drive in the Macbook Air and Pro Tools SE. I know that on the minimum system requirements for Protools SE it lists:

5400 RPM hard drive

I would have assumed that having a SSD would be even better than having a HD.

Any advice?

Thanks a million.

Default Re: Mobile Pre / Protools SE and Macbook Air

I've been searching since and I still can't see anything or anyone that explicitely says that they've had problems with the Macbook Air and Pro Tools SE, so I might just go ahead with the purchase.....

......Unless anyone else has anything to input???

Thanks
