Missing Audio
This happen with two seperate projects. I imported a project from MC v 7.0.2 into AV 4.1v5. When I opened the sequence the audio was missing on all the odd tracks. Using the same export, I imported into AV 4.1 and all the audio was there. Is this a problem with AV 4.1v5 or with the MC export?

Re: Missing Audio
This problem is actually a combination of both AudioVision and Media Composer.
There is now a new version of AV, 4.1v6, available here on the Digidesign web page that should take care of this problem. The latest version of Media Composer is 7.02v1 which should also be used for optimal results exporting from MC to AV. Contact Avid for details on how to get this update if you do not already have it. The recommended method for getting from MC to AV is to use the OMFI "AudioVision" export option in the Media Composer export window when using these latest versions of MC and AV. Earlier versions (including 7.0 and 7.01) should use a different method which I will post in another posting with this AudioVision section of the User Conference. Thanks, Jon Connolly |
