Default 192 & Digital Outs

Ok so for the LIFE of me I can't get the 192's Digital Outs to work. I usually have analog 1/2 and digital 1/2 outputting in tandem, but no matter what I do, I can't get any of the digital outs to work. Even deleting all the analog outs leaving only digital outs doesn't work.

I've only be able to get the built in AES/EBU[ENC] to work and have that working in tandem with the first analog pair.

In the Hardware Setup, under the "Main" tab, the output shows Analog 1/2 and Digital [Enc], so at least that's working. The Digital Format is AES/EBU, and all of the Digital inputs are working. All the digital outs are sending out clock, just no audio.

I feel silly 'cause I'm sure there is something I've got set wrong... I've had analog and digital outs paired together for years, but have recently upgraded to PT8. Doubt it's a bug, someone would have noticed by now, so there must be one little thing I'm still missing..

Any suggestions?

Did you set up the digitals out to none for the corresponding digital ins?
They have to be if you want to use the Digitals out to mirror the analog ones.
I think that happened to me also when I did the upgrade to PT8 last year

I THINK I did, but I'll try disabling everything but the DOuts, and see. No doubt there is just something I've got set up wrong... but can't figure it out.

Your pinout on your AES cable might be to a different standard... are you using a digi-approved AES cable?

Yes... a digi approved cable... and it was working under PT7.

So I've deleted ALL the inputs and outputs...

In the Hardware Setup, all inputs are NONE, and all outputs are NONE, with the exception of 1-2, which is Digital 1/2 All Formats. Digital Format checked is AES/EBU.

In the I/O window, I have no input connections and only one output connection, to the Digital 1/2 output pair.

The meters on the 192 do move while audio is present, but there is no digital audio out of the 1/2 cable.

Any other ideas?
