Huh? System drive now Audio Drive?
I just upgraded to 6.7. It worked fine for a few days, but now as I have re-booted and try to open a new session it says my disk allocation has changed - it is now saying my session files are on my C: drive, which is my system drive. My audio drive is F:
When it asks me if I want to change the allocation and I try to point it to my audio drive (where the files were originally recorded and still reside) it says that drive/folder is "not an audio playback volume". Well, it used to be... I went into disk management and the both disks are NTFS formatted and set as "basic" not dynamic. I cannot play any sessions. Why would PT suddenly start thinking my drives are reversed? Why would my audio drive suddenly become unplayable? (the drive is still there, I can play my mix.wav files from it). I didn't change anything hardware-wise. The only thing I can think of that I did is that I installed the T-racks and GrooveMaker demos from the included sample software disks. So I uninstalled them - no help. pics of error messages: http://www.cruisemates.com/video/error1.jpg http://www.cruisemates.com/video/error2.jpg http://www.cruisemates.com/video/error3.jpg

Check "Show Workspace".....Make sure that the drive is set to "R" for recording.

Re: Huh? System drive now Audio Drive?
Thank you, Roy. That was it. Funny, I saw another message on here where someone said their drives were getting changed from T to R for no reason, but I didn't know what that meant. Considering a lot of people looked at my message before you answered, a lot of people didn't know that either.

Re: Huh? System drive now Audio Drive?
Chuck, I saw the DigiAdmin recommended you deleted the Digi Databases. That didn't help?

Re: Huh? System drive now Audio Drive?
Hi Folks,
Sorry to be a buttinski, but where will I find the box to check the "Show workspace" so that I can check "R" for record? I have been trying to figure this one out for a while now. Thanks, Shaun. allenstein machine AMD 64 3000+ |

Re: Huh? System drive now Audio Drive?
Actually, you don't need to be in edit or mix mode - show workspace is a window of its own (at least in 6.7). Under the "windows" menu, select "show workspace" it is a small window with you drives listed. The heading is "A" and you select T for transfer, R for recording or P for Playback.
Just another one of those things you never think about until it messes up.
