Track preset group problems
I’m creating track presets that include groups. There's two problems I'm having with linking controls across track plugins. Ie, if I change or bypass a plugin that change is also made on the same plugin on the other tracks in the group.
First, when I create a group everything works okay, but if I go in and tick all the boxes for insert "controls" and "bypass" for the group it doesn’t work. I have to do strange things like toggle "follow globals" or toggle to "mix" them toggle "follow globals", then switch back to "mix/edit" then it work. In other word the settings are exactly the same as when I first ticked all the boxes. The second problem is when I save the tracks as a track preset. When I create a new track using the preset, the group is there with the tracks in it but all the insert "controls" and "bypass" checkboxes are unticked. I'm sure I had this working in the past. Re: Track preset group problems
It case it helps someone you have to turn off "Follow Globals" then save it. You can add it back if needed.
Too bad I spent hours building my track presets yesterday only to find out today that they are built into PT 2018! |
