Default Soft key for mouse 'double click'

Just started using an Artist Control and EuControl inside Cubase 8. Set up all great, everything working. What I'm trying to do is set up a soft key that will double-click track name, copy it and past the same info in a track below. What I discovered in in the Accessibility area in System Preferences is that you can set up the keyboard to act as a mouse. So in the 'mouse & trackpad' section you can 'Enable Mouse Keys', so by pressing the number 5 twice, the cursor will double click. You activate this feature by pressing the Option key 5 times in a row, and this works. Problem is , I tried setting up a soft key with the option key enabled 5 times in a row, and it doesn't work. Is the sequence too fast to enable the feature? Any suggestions?

I'm not sure if I get 100 percent what you want to do. But if you want to program a sequence (a batch command) in EuControl you have to take care not to mix EuCon-commands with key commands. I experienced this when I programmed a sequence for a new playlist. I took the EuCon command for "new playlist" followed by the return key to get a playlist with the next number via soft key. It didn't work. I changed my sequence and used the key command for "new playlist" followed by return and it worked.

Best

Mark

Hi Mark, thanks for letting me know this. Yes, originally I did combine key commands with Eucon commands, but since it didn't work I scaled back to just 5 key commands, all the same. Hard to explain what Im trying to do but I don't think it is possible. Like most, I'm going to have a lot of trial and error, forum digging, post reading, yada-yada. :roll eyes: I'm sure once you get the hang of it, Eucon can be quite valuable.
