Motif 6 Keyboard as MIDI Controller

Please please please can anyone explain to me how to set this up. The keyboard has a "remote control" feature that I am supposed to be able to use to control Pro Tools. How do I make this work? I have the keyboard set to Pro Tools. All the midi drivers are installed in windows, and pro tools can see the device. I can record midi tracks etc, but I just dont know how to make the controller aspect of it work. I am using the USB connection to the computer.

Sidenote: from what I have read, it would seem that only 2 controllers are supported (thats a bit.. ridiculous) BUT, it doesnt seem like a very difficult thing to map one controllers output to a virtual input of another controller. This seems like it would be a better idea then reprogramming your MIDI device (which I have also found references to), and extremely plausible especially if you are using the USB input. Is there software out there that can be used as an intermediate step between windows and the driver to do just that? DISCLAIMER: that probably didnt make any sense... as I said I'm MIDIretarded.
