Default Upgrade question from 001 to 002

Hello, just picked up a new 002... i'm currently using an 001 and i'm wondering do i need to unistall the 001 driver's first?... i'm not going to have to uninstall Pro-tools completely and re-install it am i???...
and also, what about Wavedriver should that still work or do i need to re-install that?... i think i have the latest version of it installed. I'm just trying to minimize and 001 to 002 headaches... any suggestions is much appreciated!!!

Thanks,
Coryc

I think you have to uninstall. I did and didn't have any problems.

How 'bout on a Mac? Is there anything different installed with a 002R that isn't on 001?

Not quite sure what your question is?

If you install PT 6.x on any platform it'll support the different hardware, on the Mac you need to install the different hardware versions over each other.

We're talking here about updating a previous version.. by uninstalling you ensure that you don't accidently have the wrong driver version which could be a mismatch for the Pro Tools version.
