Default 1814 ptmp or mbox?

I am getting into pro tools and recording for the first time. I don't want to start a commercial/progect studio. I just want a good sounding songwriting setup and I also want to know PT in and out before I move to Nashville. I don't care about the price difference I just the closest match to the HD systems I will hopefully be working with soon.

So;

M-powered or Mbox?

Thanks
