Pro Tools SE and MIDI Playback?

Hey guys, sorry to be a one post wonder but I've been searching the forum for hours and I don't have a solution yet.

I am having MIDI playback issues with Pro Tools SE, I downloaded the update which is supposed to be compatible with Lion and stuff. I can get audio from pro tools just fine and my mobile pre actually works pretty well, but when I try to play anything MIDI I get no sound at all. Not even the meters move in the pro tools window, I tried different tracks, different instruments, I tried just about everything and nothing works. Not even the MIDI on the demo tracks would play back.

I use MIDI with Reason and sometimes Finale and it works just fine there. I'm still pretty noobish with MIDI though so maybe I'm doing something wrong. Please help =)

Macbook Pro OS X 10.8.2 Mountain Lion
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

Pro Tools SE 8.0.3
M-Audio Mobile Pre

I had the same problem with imported MIDI file. I then had to assign MIDI channel to every track and it's OK now with me.

Hello. I have similar issue. I connect M-audio KeyStudio to my iMac and it's work in GarageBand, but not in PT SE. When i try to run PT i have this error:


But problem is i have in PT Optios my Keyboard:


Any idea?

Hi,

I don't think the output "send to" should be routed to xpand2 1 exclusively! This means it's only going to be routed to this VI and not the rest of the midi. Maybe there's an option for All, or something not specific to one instrument!
